Micaela Hoppe is named Composer of the Year by the Bergslagen Chamber Symphony Orchestra, which premieres her "Hav" (eng. Ocean) for symphony orchestra.
3 February North Jutland Sinfonietta performs "Dew and Rain" at a concert in Fredrikshavn.
February 17 Concert with Bergslagen's Wind Quintet in Ljusnarsberg's parish house, Kopparberg, with approximately the same program as in Denmark, autumn 2007. "Dagg och regn", "När nattfrosten biter" and "Liten godnattvisa" are played.
March 29th World premiere of "När nattfrosten boter" (eng. As the Night Frost stings) with Bergslagen's Wind Quintet and Ove Holmberg (trombone) in Västerås Concert Hall. "Dagg och regn" was also performed.
May 31st Premiere of "När natten smeker dagen till vila" (eng. When the night caresses the day to rest) in Nöre Pålstorp, Dalum (Ulricehamn municipality) by Gunna Einarsdottir (soprano), Micaela Hoppe (french horn) and Margaretha Thor (organ).
July 14th Bergslagen's Wind Quintet performed "On a Stroll with Torn-Erik" (with trombone soloist Ove Holmberg), "Little Goodnight Carol" and "When the Night Frost stings" in Grängesberg Church.
July 17th World premiere of "Natt i staden" (eng. Night in the City) in Norrbärke Church (Smedjebacken, Dalarna) with musicians from the Bergslagen Chamber Symphony Orchestra: Stefan Sundqvist, Jakob Larsen (trumpets), Martin Florin (horn), Ove Holmberg (trombone), Olof Kjellström (tuba), Niklas Vikersjö, Tobias Bergström (percussion).
